First Visit: You’ll meet with your pediatric dentist, who will address any concerns or questions you might have. The initial visit focuses on your child's diet, oral hygiene, oral habits, and any necessary dental treatment options.

Parental Presence: We encourage parents to be in the treatment room for all procedures. However, there may be times when your child cooperates better without a parent present. We will always discuss how to create the best environment for your child before starting treatment.

Positive Relationships: We work hard to build a positive relationship with your child through understanding, guidance, humour, charm, and patience. If these approaches aren't effective, we have other behavior management techniques to ensure a smooth experience.

Financial Guidelines
At Little Smiles Dental Centre, our mission is to help your child grow up feeling confident about their smile. To make this happen, we aim to be clear and supportive about every aspect of your child’s dental care, including our financial guidelines.
Payment Information:

Full Payment at Time of Service: We ask that payments for office visits and treatments be made in full when services are provided. We accept all major credit and debit cards, and contactless tap payments.

Dental Insurance: If you have dental insurance, please provide us with the accurate information before your appointment. We’ll handle the paperwork and submit the claims for you, so you can get reimbursed without hassle.

Payment Plans: Need a bit of help managing the cost? We’ve partnered with LendCare to offer payment plans, including options with 0% interest.

If you have any questions or need assistance, our friendly team is here to help. Your child’s smile is our top priority!
Insurance
Navigating dental insurance can be confusing, but we're here to help make it easier for you. Here’s what you need to know:

Filing Claims: We will file your insurance claims for you at each visit.

Payment: Full payment is required at the time of your child’s appointment.

Reimbursement: After we submit your claim, your insurance company will reimburse you according to your plan’s coverage.
Usually within 1-2 business days via direct deposit!

Specialist Fees: Our fees are based on a pediatric specialist’s fee guide, which may be higher than those of general dentists and what insurance providers typically cover.
If any issues arise with your insurance company, we’re here to provide any assistance needed. We aim to make this process as smooth as possible for you, so you can focus on what matters most - your child’s dental health!
Treatment Plan Estimates
Before we start any restorative treatment for your child, we'll provide you with an estimated cost. Please keep in mind that these are just estimates and might change as the treatment progresses. We strive to offer the best care, and sometimes this means adjusting the treatment plan. If any changes are needed, we will inform you in advance and discuss any fee changes.
We'll handle sending a treatment estimate to your insurance provider for you. The insurance company will send the coverage details directly to you, the plan holder. Unfortunately, our office won't receive this information. It's important to confirm your eligibility and understand your dental coverage. If you need help interpreting the insurance response, our team is here to help!
